Antique Art Deco Jardiniere by Boch Freres Keramis
Antique Art Deco Jardiniere by Boch Freres Keramis
This jardiniere is a beautiful piece of ceramic art. Created by the renowned company Boch Freres Keramis - founded in 1841 in La Louviere, Belgium, by Eugene and Victor Boch, along with their brother-in-law - this jardiniere features an elegant Art Deco outer design with hints of Art Nouveau in the inner patterns. It is predominantly white with intricate blue and gold patterns adorning its exterior. It has a classic shape, with a wide opening that would be perfect for holding plants or flowers.
Two blue handles add a touch of sophistication and practicality. The golden pattern, surrounded by cobalt blue, showcases meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. The jardiniere is made of glazed ceramics, which gives it a glossy finish. There are some visible signs of natural glaze craquelure (but no chipping) in the ceramic. However, this only adds to the beauty of this piece's age, which is over 100 years old.
